Well. She can run, but she can't hide. Goro shows up on time, the next day, with his usual two large plastic bags, as well as with a blanket and cushion tucked under his arm.
He clears his throat and waves at the UFO, from the grass. "Good morning, Glitch."
She was close to calling him a mother hen at this point. He always had plenty of bags now. The insistent beeping. She stretched up. The glad little space she had for a while, even if the nap she tried to get wasn't fruitful.
She dropped down. Her eyes looking up at him. "Morning."
"It's no trouble. I'm taking Drake food as well, so." He hands over the bags—one with three cartons of yakisoba, and a second one with soda and snacks and a puzzle book.
"I brought these... well, in case you got uncomfortable, I suppose. The Metaverse being what it is is a mercy, but it's always nice to kick back." And he sets down the folded blanket and the pillow, on the perpetually dead and dry grass under the miserable sky.
Actually, he thinks the sky might be lighter than it was on their first trip, by now. It comes and goes.
"Better." Aware that the very grass beneath their feet and the air around them are part of Ren's mind, he doesn't go into too much detail. "It helps him to have someone to talk to about other things. Someone to draw him out."
He rolls the dice, takes a gamble. "You could help with that, you know. If you were at home some of the time. He misses you."
"I think you've got it handled. I've got this. We still don't know if someone will show up, and I don't trust the others." She shrugged. She looked over the food, pretending to look for something to eat.
